I have a 91 Softail Custom I bought new long before I bought my first diesel last year, a 1992 club cab dually. I now own a 2004 3500 SRW quad. Been a truck man all my life though, finally came over to the dark side!

Ok, maybe more like a 6. 0 Powerpuke!! I guess it is a combination of less than stellar quality and attitudes of certain "Hog" riders. Researched them before I bought the Tiger. I really tried to talk myself into one being made in USA and overall popularity, but just couldn't do it. Quality, Quality, Quality. So I bought the Tiger. Good power, fast, COMFORTABLE, no VIBRATION, good mileage, handles like a crotch-rocket but rides like a cruiser, uniqe look, stands out in a crowd of Harley's. Huge gas tank, maintenance free so far and fun, fun, fun. Did I mention I can go about 250 miles before the fuel light comes on and go off the pavement with little trouble.



My best friend has a Harley and quite a few of the people we ride with have them. Maybe when I am 60 I will look at them again.

I've both a Tiger and the Harley Road King, and after riding both, I have to admit the Triumph is a much better machine for the money. However, my wife prefers the Harley. The biggest issue I have with the Triumph is dealer support; it seems I have to order EVERYTHING as far as replacement parts. :{



I ride the Tiger to work every day I can during the summer; not only does it save a bunch of money in fuel, it also allow me to use the HOV lanes running from out in the suburbs up to Washington DC, so it saves quite a bit of time. Oo.



My Tiger is an old one; it's a 1996 with Carbs, so if I leave it sit, I have to open the carbs and clean them out. They're sitting on the bench now, need to put them back in one night this week.



I'm surprised Triumph doesn't market harder in the US. I know they sell very well in Europe, but they're taking a long time to catch on here in the states. Everyone I know who's had a modern Triumph really likes them.



If you get a chance, take a spin on a Trophy 1200. It's a wonderful ride... ...

Just sold my 2nd BMW R1100RT. Between the 2 bikes I had 75000 miles in 4 years. Now we have kids and they need dirtbikes.

Spend too much time with the kids in the desert with the new Turbo Diesel and our trailer.

Now I ride a 2004 Suzuki DRZ400. Junior is on a xr50.

But when I can afford another Bike you bet it will be a BMW. :-laf
