On my way home yesterday I go by this Texaco and diesel was 1. 549(was 1. 45 at 5:30am). I need to fuel the VW up so I stop at my usual(Shell)1. 47 and on my way to work this morning it has jumped to 1. 53 Mr. President help. Down here this is the first time I have seen diesel hit 1. 50

Our illustrious elected leadership probably has not even thought about the effect of high fuel prices on the economy.



Exxon reported one of the largest profit margins in their history and exceeded their forecast for earnings per share by $. 06.

Oil Prices Lift Exxon Mobil Profits

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE:XOM - News) on Thursday said quarterly profit rose by more than 50 percent as sharply higher oil and gas prices helped fuel better-than-expected results.

1. 69 is the cheap end around here. I have seen it around 1. 89 in the city area.

One of the places I fill up at is in North Washington, PA. The super unleaded is $1. 68 per gal. Their diesel is $1. 74 gal. The cheepest type of fuel is their most expensive. :{
