Has anyone tried this exhaust? I've been looking high and low for stuff for my 92, but as I'm sure ya'll know, everything is from 94 on... "Frustrates me" Anyway, I found this exhaust and it's not much more than stan's and I'm thinking of tryin it... DieselPro Extreme Exhaust System Just looking for input, if anyone's tried it... Thanks :D

I built my own for 2 trucks, so I could bypass all the aftermarket "maybe it'll fit" junk. Custom to my vehicle. I went to a truck shop, got some elbows and straight pipe, and went wild with the welder. Oo.

Try pinnacle power exhaust by jerry jardine engineering 800-934-3569. I called them the cost was 300. oo for a 4in system. I remember the jardine name from when I was a kid at the drag strip. If you get one let us know what you think of it.

I bought one of these systems through the group buy, here on TDR. If you have the GETRAG transmission, the system may not fit. The down pipe was not even close and the section of exhaust that goes around the Transfer case does not allow for adequate clearance for the removal of the t-case for maintainance. Furthermore, the inlet at the turbo on the system that was sent to me was severely undersize, not even 2. 75" ID. If you want to use their system, I advise you to go to their shop and have them do a custom build on YOUR truck, using your measurements, all 1st gens are not alike! IMHO, Jardines are really decent folks to deal with:cool: and Jeremy Murders at Texas Diesel Shop ( the initiator of the TDR group buy) is an HONEST man Oo. . I sent mine back and was refunded in full. When I do mine I believe it will be home built or a Stans 4". Depending on time and money available. GregH

I just called Pinnacle Diesel and they have a 3. 5 inch down pipe because of the transmission and T case into a 4 inch system which is fine for me for $265 "with no muffler"... Works for me, thanks ya'll... . I'll let you know when I get it installed...

I have the Diesel Pro 4" exhaust on my truck, every thing fit real good, you can see a picture of my down pipe in my photo album.

CHolman,

Are you 'Countryboy' on the 'other' site? I just answered to a post regarding this exhaust.

Aloha,

Does that $265 come with crome stakes?

I don't need no stinking mufflers

I have decided to use a stock head pipe to a 4in pipe donaldson muffler and make a tail pipe using aluminized donaldson parts. The muffler is not straight through, I wanted something a little quieter #M101168. The flow rate is much better then stock. The offset muffler fits the stock location well, it will let the tail pipe go back with out having to go up then turn down after the axle. Making the tail pipe easy to make.

The pipe will go straight over the top of the axle then turn down. The tail pipe will come out in the stock location. Soot shouldn't be a problem.

The Jardines at Pinnacle Power Exhaust are much more than decent - they're fantastic! I was part of this group buy also. Had to make some compromises with the kit and do a little cut & fit.

When I dropped in at their shop, they replaced the whole setup.

You'll read more about this in the November issue of TDR.

For Cholman: It's 1050 miles up 191 from Silver City to Dubois, Wyoming. Find the time and go there for it.

Pinnacle Performance Diesel Exhaust Systems

I wished I could find the time to drive up there... I can't wait to get a exhaust system! I ordered the Bully Dog fuel pin Friday from xtreme diesel and can't wait to get it in either. I have a question for ya'll... . The fuel screw has been bumped up already along with the timing, how do you think this fuel pin is going to react, with that combo; good or bad? I can't tell you how much the timing has been bumped up or how much the screw has been turned, because the guy before me had it done, I'm just wondering, thanks. I've been loving this truck and drive it more than I do my 04, but then again my 04 like a rocket sled on rails and for around town driving I perfer my 92.

i think that depends on who you ask...

in my opinion it is gonna make a big difference

make sure the afc line is no broken

don

ps - your sig says bigger turbo - what turbo are you running on that one?

It's got the 16 housing and I think a 60 mm wheel, I "think" The guy I bought it from had a speech enpediment, so I was just like; thanks for taking such great care of it and it's in great hands, I'll baby from here on out... I wished I could get pics posted on here, but by the time I shrink them down to the size they want it looks stupid. Speaking of stupid, this is going to sound stupid, but what the afc line? I'm still trying to learn all this 12 valve stuff. I can see why ya'll like the 12 valves better than the newer trucks, I'm right there with you...

it is the small steel line that goes to the chamber where the diaphram is

the diaphram that you are gonna bolt that fuel pin too

if no boost is getting in there (like mine and so many others) the pin wont do anything

i re did mine with -3 an

you can see it here

(there is a pic of it towards the bottom of the first page)
