You need a separate forum titled "Diesels for Dummies. " I've owned pickup trucks since 1975, but this is my first diesel. Maybe you could have a separate FAQ section. I found an outstanding explanation of why I need an exhaust brake on the US Gear website. Instead of clogging the other forums with beginner's questions, how about a section that answers questions better than the owner's manual or the dealership?

D Hammond, read the frequently asked questions (thats a feature at the top of the page) and then jump right in with us , try to do a search on topics you are wanting info on ,and if you are still not satisfied with the info than post a new subject, Everyone here is willing to share knowledge and also enjoy the comminications:) We all have one thing in common and that is the greatest powered trucks on earth:D

by the way welcome aboard my friend:cool: ... ... ... ... . Kevin

DHammond, we want to see what your truck is all about, go to the user cp buttion and fill out for you sig, then on each post it will come up, this helps us to diagnose your particular problem by looking at what BOMBS ( better off modified baby)you have done

Once you get up to speed with your Diesel you will never go back to a gasser.

Welcome to the land of smoke and rattle.

John
