Well if I towed, which is never. And most likely won't with this truck, I would run the 4. 10s. But I'm runnin around empty 95% of the time, and drive the freeway to and from work. Sure I can get off the line quick, but my engine would be screamin on the freeway. So why would 4. 10s be good for what I do? Help me understand why I shouldn't waste the money on gears.
 
I dont tow quite that heavy, but with 265-75's and the 3:54's I couldent be happier. I can pull the enclosed race car trailer down the highway at 75 and have all the power in the world to go up hills. and it as an auto. I dont think that I would be happy with the 4:10's as I beleive it would pull it oput of the torque band too quick. but maybe it would be better with the 6-speed than the auto
