What is the differance between the 180 and 215 motors besides the pump? What is the differance in the two p7100s? What is the top end of a 180 in respect to BOMBing? Thanks.

Robert

The 215 engines have bigger injectors, might be a difference in the pumps too. I have the 180 hp w/automatic, and put in a set of 215 injectors years ago. She still runs great after 235,000 miles.

most of the difference is in the pump, different governor, different barrels, more than that im sure. i know the injectors are different, 180 has . 095 and 215 is . 105, correct me if wrong. i also heard the camshaft is slightly different but i am not sure about that. 350-400 hp is fairly common. some of these guy are 600-800 hp, but i don't know if thats with 180 pumps.
