Is it possible to modify my motor from the standard motor to the HO motor. I have added an EZ but of course any little thing helps

No. The pistons are different, the VP 44 is set up differently, Different Flywheel, smaller injectors (in the HO) and several other odds and ends that I can elaborate on when we have time. Can you make your engine as powerful, more powerful? Yes. The ETC engines gives you a broad range of alternatives. You've taken the first step with the EZ. Now, change injectors. That will give you some bang for your buck for a pretty reasonable price.

I have gauges on order and will not make any more mods until I have modified the transmission. I was more curious about the difference between the HO and the ETC.

If the ETC injectors are larger than the ETH injectors, could ETH owners use the other injectors as a sort of performance mod? Are they compatible? And if they are is the size difference enough to make it worthwhile? I understand that if you're going to go through the trouble, you might as well put in 275's or something, but I am trying to see if there might be some budget alternatives.

This is a quote from Dave Fritz's website:

What's new in the ETH engine:

Electronic Controls: New ECM calibration and fueling algorithms.

Fuel Pump: Increased fuel flow in the Bosch VP44 injection pump.

Injectors: Designed to provide increased fuel flow.

Turbocharger: Revised wastegate setting for 43. 5 inches Hg (26psi) boost.

Head: Valve seat inserts for added durability.

Pistons: New pistons with higher 17:1 compression ratio.

Flywheel: New flywheel with 330 mm diameter clutch (vs. std. 310 mm).

Grease Monkey, I would go with the 275s. That's what the HO owner's do. The smaller injectors are part of the setup with the pump. I think the injectors in the HO give HP plus economy. I'm getting 22 mpg with mine and see similar postings on mileage with the HO on this board.

Not Trying to be a smart @ss but:

43. 5 inches of Hg only comes out to 21. 365025 psi.

1 psi=2. 0360 in Hg

Yes - well they are BOTH correct, but this needs a better explanation.

The wastegate is mechanically set for a maximum boost of 26 psi at the turbo outlet.

The maximum boost spec at the manifold is 43. 5 inches of Hg or 21 psi. This lower pressure is due to normal flow restriction in the intake plumbing, pressure reduction from charge air cooling, and fuel derating by the PCM when manifold boost exceeds 20. 5 psi.

Sorry about the confusion, I'll clarify that on the web page.
