Different door seals on later production 05s?

Question will the silicone overspray affect the paint or effect waxing the area ??

Spray your rag and then apply it to the seal.

I don't pay attention to the seals anymore. It's a waste of time in my opinion. At first I got a wedgy over it but I got more important things to spend my time on than a seal. It doesn't seem to cause any issues, even chewed up. Nobody see it and I forget about it until I see these threads.

I do not get what the big deal is. They have a new seal that will not rub-just take it to the dealer. Had mine done on both sides and they work great.
