Different fuel additive.

I was told that ACETONE added to the fuel will increase mileage.

Anybody tried this?

Sure if you hate your VP44. Acetone removes and disolves oils. That is why body shops use it as part of paint prep. Remove lubricity in your injection pump in favor of saving a few cents per mile ... .

A long read, mostly about lubricity. IMHO the diesel mileage increase would not be offset by other problems it would cause.

This "essay" Acetone as a Mileage Additive is just bad science, period. You can polish a turd and try to sell it as something great, but in the long run it's still a turd, unless you use this The Original Dr. Guff's Turd Polish :-laf
