Do autos and manuals have different sized injection pumps?

No - not from the factory. The differences are the SO pumps that are on autos and 5 speeds, and the HO pump that is only in front of 6 speeds.

a buddy told me a while back and i cant remember. i thought there was a chamber inside thats is smaller on the HO and bigger the SO. someone else has to know and im sure will chime in and correct me

SO pumps have slightly larger plungers, with a less aggressive cam ring the HO is the opposite. thats why SO tend to respond better to boxes and HO are better with injectors to start with. If you mod very far it starts to even out.

what about the 235 01 auto's and 235 standards?

All 235 motors get the SO (standard output) pumps.
