Have decided to change the differential fluid a little early since it is new and I tow quite a bit. What are the torque values for the bolts retaining the differential cover? Older I get the less I trust my uncalibrated wrist.

Badunit:

Thanks, exactly what I needed to know. The only place I could find the gasket was at the dealers and they are really proud of it; $22 and change. Not available to the aftermarket yet, at least in this area. Suspect it will be about half that price when available aftermarket.

Thanks again.

Go for the Mag Hy-Tec @ about 270 and never do the gaskets agn. Also gives an added benifit of more fluid (I know more cost up front and more cost at each change) for more cooling/etc.

Geno's and others besides Hy-Tec have them as they are a (eeekkk but need to say it) gm fit 2.
