Greetings; can anyone tell me if on a 01 4x4 3500 will the mag-hytek differential cover the clear the sway bar? Thanks in advance doc.

If you are talking on the rear, I believe that there will be no problems. On the front, as long as you are using a stock track bar, there should also be no problems.

The clearance problems with the sway bars are only on on the 2wd drive models, and even then there is seldom a clearance problem. I had to install the spacer kit on my 3500 2wd- it was just too close for me to take a chance.

Same question for a 2002 3500 2wd rear diff Mag-Hytec cover that has a stock sway bar. I need to put in syn oil and thought I would change the cover as well.

Thanks,

Bob Weis

Bob- Like I said I installed the spacer kit on mine just because the clearance was a little too close for my liking. I have an 01' 3500 with the stock bar. The installation of the spacer kit is a piece of cake. The passenger side is already drilled, just unbolt, add spacer and move. The driver side I had to drill one hole, and then use one of the existing holes to remount the bracket.
