differential on 06

I have just bought an 06 quad 2500. Perhaps it is so quite compared to my 98, that I am noticing something that would not otherwise be a problem. But I have an annoying whine between 67 and 73 mph. It is an automatic and gets better fuel mileage than my 98.

My 04. 5 has whined since new... I attributed to the newer AAM axles... never saw anything to indicate it was detrimental (no fluid damage or excessive metal shavings on the magnet.

Mine whines only when power is applied, you can really hear it on the freeway.
