Differential Temp Question
I recently bought a Mag-Hytec rear differential cover which has a pre-threaded NPT port for a temp probe. I was considering putting a temp sender in the diff, but realized that I had no idea what normal operating temps in the differential are (loaded and unloaded).
Futher, I'm not sure if measuring the temp in the differential provides any additional information that that of the trans temp (which intuitively should be the temp limiting point in the drive line).
What do you guys think. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
