Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Difficulty getting key out of ignition

OK, was having a little too much fun on the beach in Baja with the truck, '01 4x4 Cummins auto transmission. Had the truck in 4wd then hit a ditch and the transmission went into neutral, I put it back in drive and now when I park the truck, I put the transmission in P, turn off the key and have to jiggle the gear selector to get the key out. Help please.

Sounds like you should start by inpecting/readjusting trans linkage to go all the way into park.

OK, thanks. Looks like I am about to pull the trigger on a Goenrod (sp?) transmission so have that done at the swap out. thanks
