Digital monitoring options

What are the options for digital gauges systems? So far I have only found the BD X monitor. Just breaking in 06 Megacab with automatic transmission and would like gages before I tow.

I like the X-Monitor. It was easy to install, you can set limits that will trigger a warning and it stores the maximum readings until you reset them. It's not cheap but it's a complete kit with 3 gauges and mount. If you add up the cost of three gauges and a mount the price of the X-Monitor is in the ballpark with others.

As far as SPA,

i think they are nice, but they are not the most reliable things.

I also have the SPA gauges. I love them and have not had any issues with gauge accuracy or them working. However I have had problems with the backlighting going out. The backlights are led and I think there are 3 or 4 in each gauge and all three have various ones out. And some of them have been fixed before and are again out. It is quite a pain to get them fixed as you have to send them in and then they have to send them to England to get fixed so turnaround time is measured in weeks not days. They are extremely nice and very accurate gauges but the backlighting is for whatever reason junk.

My issues with reliability are exactly the same as BarryG's. I am currently on my getting my fourth set of LED's replaced. Lucky for me when the first set when out the guys at SPA just sent me a whole new uint, so I have a non lit unit to use while I wait.



The accuracy and resolution of the SPA's is what makes waiting for the failed LED's worth it.

Funny you should mention the backlights on the SPA. My boost/egt just lost one of the green LED's (the red works fine). I mentioned to SPA and they are sending me a new guage (only had blue backlight in stock and I didn't even know they existed). The dude on the phone said they have had issues with the LED's and have fired the company that was makeing them, he also said no failures on the newer units. I'll let you know.



If you go SPA, be patient, I have had to wait WAY too long for every guage I have ordered. The fact that I waited is testament to the fact that I really like them. SPA egt/Boost is perfect for the srt-10 pillar, very visible and doesn't clutter up your view of the road the way 2 and 3 guage pillars or PDA's etc. seem to.



The Dakota guages look kicka** also. I was already on the SPA bandwagon before I learned of them.
