hhahah yea, you ever seen that old John Candy movie "Canadian Bacon"? its hilarious. makes me think of your area. its right around there, Canada/US boarder.

so thats what the UP is! makes perfect sense now. so yall dont got the real northern acccent, and you sure dont have the southern, you just go the inbetween and tend to pronunciate your words a lot better and stuff.

yea i think thats kinda a national thing. . most common people that dont give a rip about how educated they sound do that, at least from my experience. not that your tryin to sound not educated or nothin, but you get the idea.

the guys i work with at John Deere, kinda back in the hill of VA. you have to be from round here to even understand what their sayin. its a different dialect. hhah one of em sounds identical to Boomhawr from "King of the Hill".

Jimmy, I wonder if your light switch has already been changed to the new style? The one I was referring to is in a 95, no extra button for the cargo light. That would explain the 2 clicks. Tugger said it was for the 94 and up models. ;)

If you want the switch to work, tap into the wire that goes to the door switch. Then run that to the light switch. I'd check with a meter or test light and make sure that terminal is the ground. Is the "D" terminal on the switch used? Or not?

thats a great idea pete, i think ill do that.

yea the "D" terminal is used. its the "M2 20YL" wire that comes from the "M2" splice that above the radio... . the one you mentioned previously... yea so that should work perfectly then right?

I think so. Try grounding that wire, see if the dome comes on. If it does, might be wrong terminal or something. If not wire might be bad. This is what I'm betting on. ;)

alright ill give it a try, probly this weekend. hey heres a strange question for you... . now that i have a relay for the tail lights, will it be switching on and off every time i hit the break pedal, or is it only linked to the dimmer switch/running light setting?? im just wondering if its some how connected so that if im driving during the day and hit the breaks, if the relay will be switching on and off. . i cant emagine that it would, or how that would even work, but i just wanted to see what you thought.

alright, good enough, i knew it was a stupid question. it dosent even make logical sense. maybe ill think a little harder next time to keep me from making a fool of my self :D

Eh, I've realized that everything in life, I do my best work slop. Eh... to an extent. I either have to be a perfectionist, or I have to half a** the hell out of it... I don't seem to be able to find a middle ground ever.

Moral of the story? Round here we measure how big of a job something is by how many beers it takes to get through it.

sorry to get off the "now" topic of this thread, and go back to the origional topic :-laf but i just wanted to tell you pete, i can believe this, but today for the first time i turned my dimmer switch stem to the left one click, nothing... . two clicks, map light and dome light come on!!! what the deuce is going on here?? i guess that one lead out the back does go to the interior lights, and the open terminal must be for the Cargo light??

I can't answer that one for ya Jimmy. I can say "You fixed it!" :-laf

I think 1 position is 1 terminal, the other is both.
