Does anybody out there know the direction that the coolant flows through the heater core? My buddy (fellow TDR member with no internet access) needs to find out if the coolant flows from the front heater hose to the back hose {through the heater core) or vica-versa. He is hooking up a Webasto heater and needs to know the direction the coolant flows. Thank you

johnrv4,

I dont recall how the hoses are situated but I thought that the supply hose came from the area at water pump the return line dumped the collant in at another place on engine. I wil look at it tomorrow to see how they are located.

I am 90% sure it comes out of motor goes to heater core then to water pump. That is normal mode of operation for gassers.

Yep checked it comes out of head goes to heater then to water pump.

John,

Eric is correct heater core supply hose is out of head right behind thermostat housing, small bypass hose right next to it.

Return heater hose dumps into the water pump's neck.
