Project for Steve

am having trouble getting my emails from this site, and would like to know if anyone else uses direcway.com as their internet provider and mailing address

If so are you getting your mail and would it be alright to send you an email to find out what might be different about your mail set up than mine

There are 18 users on the site with direcway as their provider and there are 2 others that have had email notices sent to them in the last day. Both of theirs are getting rejected just as yours are. It's nothing in your setup it's your ISP. They are rejecting emails from turbodieselregister.com for some reason. Most likely their anti-spam program is seeing the email notices as spam. If you can get a technical contact (preferably email or a chat support) for them I will try to contact them and see what I can do.

Deezul1 - your email notifications are being accepted by AOL so you should be seeing them. Try checking your spam mail directory if AOL has one - they may be putting it in that folder instead of rejecting it. Here's the log entry from an email sent to you yesterday:

Aug 27 10:29:22 tdr sendmail[53317]: h7RAT2B53315: to=texan2hot@aol.com, ctladdr=no

i have direcway but still have an email acct with aol.

here is an email that direcway sent me recently.

VIRUS ALERT!

YOUR IMMEDIATE ACTION IS REQUIRED

As you may know, the MSBlaster virus was discovered recently and has caused significant problems throughout the Internet community. "Blaster", as it is commonly known, uses a Windows vulnerability to spread allowing it to infect computers without requiring any action on the part of the user. What we've found is that many of our DIRECWAY users are not aware that they are infected. While the DIRECWAY network is not infected, approximately 10-20% of DIRECWAY end-users are infected with the Blaster virus. Those infected with the virus are causing severe service degradation for the entire user population.

WHAT YOU MUST DO

The severity of this problem is such that DIRECWAY requires your immediate action.

Go to www.Microsoft.com. Click on "Specific Actions for Blaster Worm" in the upper right hand corner of the page and follow the instructions to remove the virus from your computer.

In order to halt the spread of this virus, some infected DIRECWAY accounts may be temporarily suspended. If this happens to you, please contact technical support.

Steve

You were right on, the TDR got blocked as spam. Prolly my fault as AOL has this spam blocker you can click on for each e mail and I prolly hit the wrong line but its working good now.

Thanks

John

Steve:

I just want you to know I appreciate the trouble I have put you through with this e-mail deal lately.

This has to be the greatest web sight on earth. When you will take the time to solve the problems of a few members that are haveing problems it really says alot about the staff of the TDR.

Thank you
