I have been asked to pick the experts brains on this issue by a second gen owner,

He gets a buildup of dirt which sticks to the inlet side of his rad. [between the rad and intercooler]Eventually this causes overheating if the outside of the rad is not cleaned. There are no visable oil leaks and the truck is driven mostly on pavement in a wet environment. Any ideas? Thanksl
 
I had this happen awhile ago, I think alot of it is due to the breather bottle on the front of the 2nd Generation 24 valve. The oil vapor gets pushed back through the radiator & accumulates a nasty mess. I removed the radiator & got the core cleaned.



Some people relocate the breather bottle elsewhere or come up with another system for the breather.
