Disable Speed Limiter

I am posting this for a friend of mine who has an early 07 2500 truck with the 5. 9.



He is wanting to disable to upper speed limiter as he seems to run out of steam on the top end while running down the track. He tried using the smarty unit, but it erased the vin number from his computer.



Anybody have any other ideas?

I just called my buddy and passed along your response, maybe there has been an upgrade since the last time he tried to use the smarty. This guy is no ametuer. (sp?)



Hopefully everything works out well for all concerned.



I know nothing about this stuff as I drive an IDI, I am just passing along some info and trying to help a friend find some results
