Disabling wastegate solenoid on 04.5??

I have the 0243 code. It is wastegate solenoid malfunction. Anyways I have an edge HOT juice w attitude. I am only getting 11-23 psi of boost. I pulled off my airtube to the turbo and noticed that the wire that goes to the solenoid had rubbed quite a large groove in the edge of the solenoid. I am probably going to pull the solenoid and the wire and re-solder the wire incase it had rubbed all the way through. If this does not fix it what do I do to get rid of this solenoid? What are all you aftermarket turbo guys doing with the factory solenoid. I might take it to the dealership for a new solenoid... ... ... . I figure it should be a warranty item because of their crumby wiring rubbing through. That is if I cant yank it out/dissable or solder up the wire.

Aftermarket turbos are all manually controlled waste-gates, and you need that valve in the hole or you wont build any boost at all. Hopefully you can fix the one you have.



But thats always a good excuse to UPGRADE.
