If you are hauling 7-10 TONS... ..... over a long period, you have no reason to complain about wear or what ever was wrong with the tires and they need to tell you that. That is an anormous amount of weight on two tires. And add to that the amount of torque that is added to the equation by your mods. Believe it or not it makes a lot of difference once it gets to the street.

The only thing wrong with the Pathfinder tires was that they were Load Range D, not E. Stock tires are Load Range E, which are designed to handle just about any weight that you'll put behind a CTD. The fact that one of the Pathfinder tires popped had nothind to do with the Load Range.

I have been to DT a few times in Concord, NC and they are AWESOME!!! fix flats for free, repaired a valve stem for free, and their tire prices have beat every local competitor, that their prices include everything. They listen to what I want and only offer friendly advice.

Hell, Walmart, Sams, and BJs won't even match their low prices because it's too far below what they have in their books.

I am not affiliated in any way with Discount Tire, but if I were running a business, that's the way I'd do it;)

I have used the Discount Tire stores in Longview, Katy, and San Antonio for a number of years. The stores all have given excellent service with the exception of the store at I-10 and Mason Rd in Katy. The other Disco store in Katy is totally opposite. Great Service. As for the tires... ... I am have been running the same tire for almost 50K now, and not a problem one except for the once-in-a-blue-moon mesquite thorn. The 285/75s on my truck are a load range D also, but the load rating is equivelant to a load range E in a 285/35 tire, due to the increased tire width. I'm sorry to hear that Disco is not offering the Pathfinder ATR's for our trucks anymore. I will be needing another set in another 10K.

In general, you get what you pay for in terms of tires and service. The price at Disco usually beats most, but you have to live with the crowds, waits, and occational rude salesman. If you want the best tire, stick to Michelin, but be prepared to pay the premium price. We run ~30 1 ton pick-ups loaded at ~11K up and down Mines Road outside of Laredo everyday. They are the only tire that holds up.

Nothing but GOOD things to say...

I blew out a Michelin (stock) port side inner tire on my dually on a trip doing 80+mph. Tires had about 50k on them, and it was about due for a replace.

Arrived in Sacramento, and called Discount (American) Tire Center. They were a few buildings up from my hotel, and checked with Costco before calling them.

Not only did they beat Costco's price by a WIDE margin, but said to come down and they would do it before closing.

Had them go for it, and they mounted and balanced 6 tires in about 35 minutes (since it was past closing time). They had the entire crew working on the truck. Great deal and GREAT service.

On the trip back, I could feel one of the tires just didn't feel quite balanced. Went back to my local Discount Tire Center ant asked them about checking balance. They balanced all 6 tires again and found 2 just a bit out. NO CHARGE. Tires have been dead solid and balanced ever since.

I can't say enough GOOD things about Discount (American) Tire Centers. They went WAY above and beyond the call of duty, and I will purchase ALL of my tire needs there, until they REALLY screw something up. EXCELLENT rating from this consumer!!! :D :D :D

I've always had great service and products from the Discount Tire in Mesa, AZ. 4 different vehicles with rims and bigger tires on them, including the 2 Cummins I own now.

Couldn't be happier.
