Have you passed a Ford lately?

Camper rocking [not while parked]

One thing about the alignment of the dish using a meter-Dish and Directtv sat's are fairly close together. If you get a strong signal on the meter but no signal on your tv you probably locked on the wrong sat. Also I have a tripod that mounts on the ground that I use first. If I can't get a signal with that setup I have a 15' pipe that I can mount sat dish to and clamp to ladder on back of my 5th wheel. Also if you are camping out of your local area and want to still get the networks, at least with Directtv, you must request an affidavit from them and provide it with a copy of your RV registration and they will hook you up with NY and LA locals. :D

Jack -

I found that I could get better signal up around Fairbanks with the larger dish even through some trees, I also have an inline amplifier. I have both Dish and Directv, Dish always is easier to line up.

How's the weather up there so far, I have a 2. 5 hour meeting on the 14th in Fairbanks, only 36 hours of Airline and airport time to get there:mad:

The 18" dish now works pretty good(but not perfect) around Anchorage. The signal has apparently been strengthened recently.

It should be ok in the Yukon also.
