Has any one installed this kit? '88-'93 Dana 70

I talked to the guy (his name is Skipp) he was really nice. He said since I live in Canada that he wouldn't mind giving me the part numbers for the rotors and calipers which I can get at any local parts store. This would save me shipping costs.

He used to have a fleet of trucks and said he had alot of first gen dodges and that installing this kit was a "night and day difference", anyways if any of you have used this kit let me know how it turned out. He said I wouldn't need a proportioning valve because of the abs but mine is disconnected. There is one kit for the lighter dana 70 and one for the heavy. He said not to trust the door tag and the only other way to figure it out is to remove a stud and measure it. The lighter one can be modified to work on the heavy one but if you order the heavy one and end up with the lighter axle you will have to return it.

Let me know. I have seen all kind of kits for dana 60's and for 2nd gens but not for the pound in lug rotor dana 70's. I should of checked the forums better but if any of you didn't know of this kit... ... cheers:-laf

Several have done it. Mixed reviews.

Some said it worked so much better it was worth the little niggling things that need to be done to make everything fit correctly.

Others were not impressed with the results and decidedly unhappy with the quality of the kit.

It's gonna be one of those perception things and your personal expectations. IMO, its worth it for a cheaper solution. :)

On kinda the same subject, is there any kit to swap in a newer design front disc kit and get rid of the POS stock calipers? In my opinion, a caliper that only needs one screw removed for dissassembly is a brilliant design. Until you buy reman calipers and they never fit right again...

yeah is there any other front brakes that have real slides and use king pins?... I've done my brakes 3 times in the last 6 years and it drives me nuts . . I don't drive the truck much . . maybe 5000 - 6000 a year so a lot of sitting is taking its toll. . any ideas. . I want to upgrade to hydraboost next but real improved front calipers are on teh wish list any options...

Thanks
