Disney Transporter.... Diesel Type?

I think I remember a posting on this subject sometime over the past two years... . But, can't seem to locate it using "search".



Does anyone know the manufacturer & model of the TD used in the "Disney Transporter" to shuttle folks around the parking lot while visiting the "Big Daddy Rat"?



I've just returned from my first Disney experience and enjoyed all of rides & attractions. The place was mostly vacant! But of all of the rides and attractions... . The whine/whistle of the Disney Transporter interested me most.



What's in that thing?

Can't help you with that one, I wondered the same myself. I can tell you though if you want whine and whistle , if you ever make it out to Colorado Springs you MUST take the Cog Rail Train to the top of Pikes Peak. A couple areas with 20%-25% grade, all being toted by the mighty Cummins.

Whine and whistle, that reminds me of a website that I ran into a while ago that was a diesel-electric train nut's dream. It had sound clips of all different types of EMD's, small Detroits, and may be a Cummins or two. One EMD in perticular had a turbo that sounded like everthing within a 20' radius was going to get sucked into it Cool stuff.
