Disneyland in April

In April we are taking my 6 year old to Disneyland for her Birthday. My wife and I have both been there but it has been many years. I need to start looking around for flights and motels. We may take my nephew also so there will be 4 of us going.



Any tips on motel and flight deals would be appreciated. We will be flying from Portland or Eugene OR, to Disneyland.

Man, I hate Disneyland but all my co-workers love it and they go all the time. . There is one general consensus, they all stay at the Disneyland Hotel (convenience with the kids), and they get the package deals including airfare (if they fly- we're only 6 hrs. North) and the passes including entry into both D-land and California Adventure. Oh yeah, and they all get some "speed pass" which gets them to the front of the line--- or something like that.



They tell me I need to convert and I'm depriving my children... Ehhh...

With Disney WORLD they have a speed pass that is only available to people who stay in the Disney resorts.



The speed pass works by putting your room key in a card reader and it tells you be to be back t a certain time. After that time you have an hour to get in line. Instead of standing in line for 3 hours you can get some lunch or ride another ride while you wait for the speed pass time to arrive.

Disney WORLD also had whats called extra magic hours. Its open to people who stay in the Disney resorts and they can stay before or after hours.

Looking around tonight: Disneyland.com is around $3200



Alaskaair.com with their kids fly free deal is about $1700



I am sure it would be neat to stay on Disney property, but I need to cut the cost a little. I really hate to spend almost double.



I am not going to book it for a while, I am just looking around to see what I can find.
