I've carried a leather, check booked sized wallet for about have my life. Might as well be a women's wallet, lol. I showed my wife these cool little credit card holder thingy's a while back and low n behold, she bought me one for my birthday.

I love this thing. I keep the 2 most used cards on the ends and the other once in a while cards in the middle. Money clip is super sturdy and its really easy to slide in and out of jean pockets.

I carve my own leather and make my own. I haven't purchased a wallet in 30+ years. And guess what, its time to make another, but I have a new toy to play with. I hope the few laces that are left holding it together, doesn't completly fall apart, until I get my new truck figured out. :)

Does it work as a security device, so someone can't steal the info close up?

Just how many credit cards do you carry anyway ? It may just be because of how the photo looks, but it makes my leather wallet look skinny. And I have pictures of the grandkids, drivers lic, cash, etc.

It's only about a 1/2 thick. I carry DL, debit card, 3 business cards, medical etc and the other cards are my fire dept / emt ID's. It's really compact and light weight.

Here's the leather wallet I made compared to the Ridge wallet

That gives it a little more perspective. If it does everything for you that the purse size wallet you used to carry did, that is a heck of a deal. I carry the standard shape/size wallet. But I may have to consider such a deal. The only real drawback I see for me is that I like to carry cash.

Cash goes under the clip. Pretty neat.

I have a total of eight cards, mostly ID cards, so it would be thinner for my use, and my wife won’t let me have any cash...

^^^ LOL. I haven't had cash in my hands since.....well can't remember now. Ever since I quit shoeing horses for a living and became a professional toilet plunger, my wife has truly became the banker in my house.

Just goes to show how far behind the times I am. If I need a credit card I either bring my wife along or go into the safe to retrieve the only one in my name. I use a rubber band around some bills.
