I know Geno's sells a kit to replace the banjo bolts from the fuel filter to the cp3 along with the line... . but has anybody bult their own and have a parts list of the fittings and stuff needed? Not trying to knock Geno's (they've been real good to me in the past) but $50 seems a bit steep for a few fittings and a piece of fuel line. Just figuring it can be built more cost efficiently from Napa or something.

Piece of cake. Banjo threads are M12x1. 5. A "Weber" fitting from Summit will adapt that to -6AN.

Stick one in the bottom of the filter housing, and one at the CP-3, along with new sealing washers and you're good to go.

I run braided stainless hose, but beware what material you get. I'm using buna-N, which technically isn't compatible with biodiesel or ULSD, but I haven't had trouble yet. Viton would be preferable.

And can someone please tell an uninformed guy like me, what is the benefit of this mod? Thanks.

If you're running extra horsepower and need more flow, the larger line helps.

And the change to industry-standard connectors us, generally, a good thing in terms of serviceability.

Other than that, I see little benefit.

Can't hurt easing the the load on the LP either. The restrictions end up being the filter and and a few choke points instead of the whole line from tank to IP.

I thought we were talking about only the line between the CP-3 and the filter bowl.

It's still 2 less choke points. ;)

Certainly! I just meant that in this specific thread I was under the impression we were dealing only with the short bit between the bowl and the injector pump.

I figured 13MWZ has his own reasons for focusing on that specific part.

Thanks Tomeygun, that's what I was looking for. I do plan on replacing the whole fuel line at some point in time (when I can afford a FASS system) but for now I atleast wanted to do this little part. I'm not expecting anything out of it other than knowing the fuel is flowing a little better.

So you said you "only went with a -8an size". Since I dont realy understand the an sizes or what a CTD needs, what size would be recomended? My is just as it is in my sig and with stay that way for a while with the exception of a intake horn.
