I've never heard any of the Dixie Chicks' "music". I don't listen to what's commonly referred to as "Country & Western" because it isn't. What I've seen is, with a few (very few) exceptions is that a person is a "star" as long as they are young, good-looking and fresh. The first time any one of the three prerequisites falter, that "star" is finished.



I guess I go against the grain here in TDR-Land. I usually listen to Christian Radio stations with wonderful Biblical teachings and great praise songs.

but you missed my point, why do stars think that we care about what they think on political topics? I don't care what Tom Delay thinks about new movies comming out do I?

You can go about trying to change the world - and you may succeed; take time to think about all the time you could have been spending doing what you really like to do - travel, eat, knit sweaters for your toy poodles, etc.



This is a clear - cut and dry - Freedom of Speech issue.



Anyone can say whatever they want - but be prepared to back it up and face the consequences.

All you need is an audience and an opportunity then you can be important on most any subject.
