Well, they sure treated her nice and fast. I doubt a Dodge dealer would be 1/2 as nice and 4 times as long to fix the problem ... AND ... there would not be a 100K + extended warranty on the Cummins. GM does seem to take care of their customers these days.

Well if you go over to The Diesel Place and do a little reading you can see they have plenty to take care of!

I gave info to a friend about the new "improved" Z in July that came from the TDR and Open roads forum. The dealer claimed he didn't know the 06 "Y" my friend had ordered was going out!

Now the guys on The Diesel Place are already searching for ways to beef up the "new" six speed Allison!

I like the Allison, but I have to admit it is heart warming to hear guys that have always thought they had such a superior transmission panicking now that they have some low end and a mighty 650# of torque!

I dunno. About ten years ago I was managing a Firestone retail store too near the local Lincoln dealer. A beautiful 30 something brought her Linc in for a bad vibration. It had been at the dealer for two days while they checked it out! Naturally they blamed it on Firestone tires. As soon as her husband got there we raised it on the lift and could immediately see she had a bent rim.

He said he wasn't surprised. It seems she had taken it to LM a few months prior with an electric seat problem. The DA in the service department told her the problem was the drivers seat was "overloaded"! She was about 5'5" and 125# with a body to die for!
