Dmax CP3 for dual CP3 on a 03 cummins

Ok something interesting. A buddy called me today asking advice on using a Dmax CP3 to put a dual CP3 kit on his 03 cummins..... Anyone ever thought of this or tried it? can it be done or are the Dmax and CTD fuel systems that different?

The dual kits come standard with the Chevy pump on top. You would have to specify usually if you want an all Dudge setup.

They told me it flows 8% more than the factory dodge pump. .

Basically easier to mount up. High pressure outlet is on the side instead of rear.

For some reason the duramaxes don't like high supplied pressure. Not sure why, or if it's even the CP3, but my truck runs fine with 30psi of fuel pressure but if you try that on a dmax they don't idle right.
