Truck for sale in Eastern Oregon

mothball smell

When a bird flies over your truck and takes a dump, does he do it deliberately or is it a natural happening (like whoops, there it goes... )?

Doc

And they are good at it Joe!:) Got a coat thats stained to prove it.

When coming in from a day of fishing, I think they expect to be fed something. If that doesn't happen, don't look up!

Doc, I think they do it on purpose.

I was working with a buddy of mine last spring and was entertained by the antics of a young red bird on his truck. My truck was dirty so the bird ignored it. However it could see its reflection in the glass of his new GMC. It spent the day fighting the "other bird. "

At first it entergetically hurled itself against the glass. As the day wore on, it to wore on. Sometime in the early afternoon, the truck got warm inside so on one of his trips to get something, he rolled the window down.

What a great perch it made for tired young cardinal! He even left a thank you note on the door panel having just finished feasting on mulberries! EWW!

I believe it is called shadenfreud.

IF YOU THINK POOP IS BAD,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

A few years ago, while driving my wife's car (a white Cougar) home from work, I was bombarded by 3 buzzards who had been feasting on some week-old road-kill in the roadside ditch. As the 3 birds flapped rapidly to gain altitude in order to clear the car, they must have suddenly became airsick and lost their lunch. :puke,,,,,,, all over the windshield and driver's door (thank God I had the window up running the AC). I pulled in the yard and exited the car via the passenger side and made a run for the garden hose. Almost got the dry heaves trying to get the stench & chunky stuff washed off,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,YUK

Good thing was,,,,,,,,,,,,I almost rode the Harley that morning.

I KNOW for a fact birds are attracted to red. I have a red Volvo 850GLT that I normally drive to work. Many (if not most) days I'll find the bird "deposits" on my car when those on either side haven't been touched.

Got A Good One For You Guy's

Back at my last job working for an Enviromental Engineering Co.

a secretary and one of the field guys hated each other...

He used to spit his chew on the side of her white Grand Am on occaision when he got out of his pickup just to **** her off...

She got very sick of it, and decided to used the rampant seagull population in the area to help her out...

First, she took a 3 liter bottle of Pepsi and poured it all over his F-150 (brand new mind you!!!) then 2 bags of Cheetos were liberally applied to the Pepsi "adhesive" :D

You guessed it ... clouds of gulls  and a snowstorm of bird c**p

What a friggin mess on that truck... what do they say about a woman scorned?? ;)

Buzzards puke as a responce to being threatened or spooked. I know some folks who did some research on them. They like to nest on cliffs, protected by rocky overhangs, etc. These people would have to climb up there to check on the young ones. Once in a while their efforts would be rewarded in like fashion. Dedication?

My dad tells the story of hitting a buzzard with a Carryall years ago whille on a geology field trip. It came through the windshield sending every person inside into projectile vomit mode. They took it to a car wash and even with all the windows down and the windshield out, the smell was intense.

Those sobs like white too, every time I wash my truck they get it good while I'm at work. The only good birds a dead bird. Just kidding I love birds really I do, you believe me don,t you DOC?

I'm not so sure, chuck3... every time I give you the bird you get mad. :) :) Birds never mess on my almost red truck. Maybe it's because I keep it dirty :)

A co-worker hates birds and chases them out of the bus garage. Guess who's tool box always get's dumped on.

I just realized that this thread could have been a good poll.
