Do delivery valves wear to the point where they might affect performance. I'll plead ignorance here since I've never had one out and don't really know what they consist of. I have 245kmiles on my truck and was thinking about changing delivery valves. First I was considering it for performance but after doing some thread searches it looks like there not much to be gained over my 181s.

There is a decent deal on some lasers but I don't need something that is gonna smoke even worse for just a little more power. If there is something to be gained by having "Fresh" DVs that don't have 250kmiles on them then maybe I'll look for a set of 191s.

Dynomite diesel performance makes a set of thier own delivery valves that offer more power and less smoke than the 191's and they are not that expensive in comparison. I upgraded my 131's to 191's and saw a huge increase in power, alot of smoke, but les egt's when i'm pulling..... strange. But delivery valves don't really wear they are just a seal.
