Just finished crossing the Continental Divide. Elevation around 7000 ft.
Speed was @75mph, EGT registering @ 1000 degrees, Boost @ 15lbs and Fuel Pressure (with the new intank pump) hovering around 1lb.
Stepped on it to get around a big rig and heard the engine start to ping as I approached 80mph... just as a gasser would. Fuel pressure was still above "zero" psi. As soon as I backed-off a bit the noise went away.
Was the VP44 trying to tell me something? Or was this a normal response while climbing to this altitude given the above parameters?
