all right guys, i want to get a torque converter for my 05 cummins automatic. I want to be ready for power like a chip and what not. My question is who has a good one for a good price that won't put a dent in my pocket. I saw that ats wanted over a grand for theirs but that is way out of my price range. Any input would be great but remember no arguing over who has the best. I don't want to be the cause for a bad transmission thread. Thanks guys

the best you will find a convertor for is over a grand, for a good triple lock anyway, you might find a single disk for aound 900.

I would say that you better save up a lot more money if you want to up grade. There is very little you can do and not spend money on out Dodges.

If you are not planing on huge hp increases, maybe try Pro-Torque torque converters. A buddy of mine has been running one along with an upgraded valvebody for over a year at the 450-500rwhp level with no problems.

pro-torque

I have a pro-torque in my first gen and love it. Price was around $600.

However in my 06 I was going to use NADP but since wade (DIESEL POWER)has been talking to Dave Goerend I migh have changed my mind.

Ill still call you Wade.

I was quoted $2600 for a BD tc and valve body including installation. If $1K is out of your budget, I think that this is not a mod you will be doing anytime soon.
