I have a 97 3500, with a pac brake. The pac brake has never operated since I bought Gus97. I now figured since we have a 34 foot toy box trailer I should have one that works. Now I have a BD exhaust Brake.

The BD brake needs 60 Pound Valve Springs. I assume that is what I have because Gus97 was used as a 3 car hauler and has an exhaust brake installed.

I would like to make sure about the valve springs, how do I do that?

Thank you/

you will have to take your valve covers off and look at the springs the stock springs are the same size coil from top to bottom ,, the 60# spring will be fatter in the middle and taper alittle on the bottom and top and the coils are thicker
