During +10 Degrees. I Drove 40 Miles And Temp Needle Never Got To The 2 On The (number 200) On The Gage. . If You Have A 03 You Know What Im Tring To Tell You. . also The Heat Controlls Have To Be All The Way To The Right To Get What I Think Is A Hot Air Out. . during Much Warmer Weather Outside Say 32. . The Controls Will Give Hot Air In Middle Position And The Temp Gage Will Be At The Middle Mark , I Think Its 200 Degrees... Any Ideas??? Is This Normal? You Guy's Up In Montana, Wyo Or Alaska,,, How Do Your 03's Act In Really Cold Weather Doc... .

Buy the factory winterfront,BIG difference in warm up time. Do you plug your truck in at night?That makes a BIG difference too. I live in Michigan and plug in every night and have the factory winterfront,I always have good heat. coobie Oo.
 
Welcome to the winter diesel experience my friend. :-laf Cold starts, poor mpg, frequent 4X4 use, extension cords, pre-heats, and yes, it takes a while for them to warm up.

In cold weather, try using the "Recirculate" function. The heater will be much warmer.
