Well, I parked the D3500 late Friday nite... no problems... Saturday morning, I get in it, start it, and think I am going to let it warm up... it was about 15*F outside... The truck ran for about 2 minutes, then quit... This pickup had a new lift pump and injection pump put on it about 2,000 miles ago... just before I bought it. The work was done at a Dodge house. I first thought it might be a fuel filter, so I replaced that, and filled the canister w/ATF. The truck popped right off, but soon died. I opened the fuel filter canister again... it was dry... . refilled it with ATF, and it popped off again. .

Since I am alone, I can't use my test light to see if the lift pump is getting fire; as you know it only stays on a second, and it is kinda hard to reach quickly.

What do you think? Anyone know the replacement warranty?

Any replies appreciated!

Regards,

I don't know about the atf trick, but if its not filling the filter bowl, I think your done.

I would fill the filter bowl with fuel, try it again.

you don't list the year or mileage, sounds like dodge warranty time.

Just bump the starter, and the pump should run for about 40 seconds. . You should hear the pump run. . If you can hear the pump run... remove the schedor valve on the fuel line. . or at the top of the filter housing. . (depending on the yr of your truck. ) It will spray out. . or bump the starter. . and just push the valve down... (it should spray out. . )

Sounds like its time for a fuel pressure gauge...

Good Luck

Do you run any additives to prevent fuel gelling? Maybe the fuel line from the tank gelled on you. Just a thought.

Like stated above "bump the starter and the pump will run for 25-30 seconds" Good luck Phil
