I have a '99 4X4 and am installing an edge EZ box. I have also installed the trans kit for my transmission. I pull a 9,000 lb fifth wheel.

Will I be pushing the lift pump hard enough to need a pusher pump?

Regardless of what you tow eventually it WILL fail. The lift pump is just in a bad location. It's designed to push not to suck fuel. A lot of people will disagree but I don't think having 2 pumps is mandatory. Is my case I don't even want 2 pumps! I find the set up too noisy and too complicated for the gain(2 pumps to worry about)

I'm relocating the lift pump by the tank and replacing the fuel lines with SS braided lines(-6 AN) and Aeroquip fittings. You can call Andy or Doug at Advance Diesel Tecnology(724-335-6167) or visit their site for email www.smokindiesel.com , they run both setups on their trucks and they can tell you the pro's and con's of both(Just 1 pump at the tank or pusher to feed the EOM lift pump), better than I can.

Hope it helps,

Glenn

Put a fuel pressure gauge on now, so you'll know if your lift pump goes bad, if it goes and you don't know, you'll fry your VP44

They do have a good kit....

Glenn is right, ADT does have a good setup, but did you read Steve St. Laurent's article in the latest TDR, #34? He got one from Enterprise Engine and said it has a consent 19psi, and at 41 psi of boost, he only sees 1 psi lost in fuel pressure. That's where I want to be. :D
