Do the Bearings?

Doin the rear cylinder upgrade this weekend while changing shoes. Also installing Mag diff cover and changing fluid. While I have this thing apart should I replace the wheel bearings? How big a PITA? Any helpful hints or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. App 120k on truck. Thanks

Those bearing hardly ever go bad as they are lubed by rearend oil. I have had trucks with 250, 000 and 350,000 miles with orig bearings.

While the rearend is off the ground, try to wiggle the hubs, there should be very little (. 001-. 010") play.

rearend bearings!!!

I just installed new axle seals on my dana 80 and the outer wheel bearings all of the chrome plating has come off of the rollers, thought that was strange. The inside bearings look like new. The truck has 116,000 miles just thought you would like to know.
