My wife putts around in it from time to time, but whenever she does drive it, she eagerly anticipates the next tailgator..... so she can smoke'em ;)

Sounds just like my wife... :D :D :D

Not too many I'd trust....

Just a select few people. The sheer size of it intimidates a lot of would-be drivers. I'd let my wife drive it if she asked but she doesn't exhibit any desires; as someone else said I should at least show her how to drive it in case I'm bleeding/dying and need bailed out at some point!

We've handed each other the keys at a few NETDP meets, kind of checking on each other's bombing progress. Don't ask me why, but I trust those guys!

I have also driven into NYC and hit situations where I absolutely had to put the truck in a parking garage. Not that I trust those guys at all, but the liability is where it belongs if anything gets dented. After getting soaked an extra $10 for an oversize vehicle, it is a kind of payback to watch the attendant try to drive it. First they have to ask me where the emergency brake release is. Second, they put it in first gear and it roars as they take off at 3 mph. Third, they proceed extremely cautiously because they can't believe how big it suddenly feels! One guy asked me if my muffler was broken and I had to tell him it was a diesel!!!

Drive My Truck...No Way !!

Besides myself only two people have driven my truck...

My Wife twice... and she hates driving it, too loud and too big ( that makes me very happy)

and a

Very Good Friend... and that has only been a half a dozen times or so...

NO ONE ELSE...

:D

My wife drives it, Quite well actully the first week we had it I was out of state and her car broke down so she had to take the truck and park it in her employeers tiny underground parking lot. My father in law drives her when he needs to haul something. I hate leaving it with valets and parking attendents, but I sometimes can not help it.

only a couple... ... ... the better half drives it occasionally. just a run to town or so. she does help drive on trips pulling the camper, and handles the truck very well. she does get very nervous when we get on the skiny(narrow two lane), affraid she will drop it off the burm.

I let a good friend drive my truck. Of course he is the one who turned me onto TDR and has a 97 Cummins. I'll let my fiancee drive my truck, but nobody else.

I remember going to a Toyota dealer to looks at cars and they had free valet parking. I got a weird look from the valet driver when I said I'll park the truck myself.

Unless you're used to driving a big truck, most people who drive regular cars has a hard time driving a taller vehicle.

If anyone needs something moved, I'll move it for them.

most if not all the peaple in our family are scared of the truck since I backed up Idling and put the naughbors drivers door on top of his front seat , they feel 8500 lbs is a bit much for a one ton and about 5000 lbs more than they are used to , secondly they have no consept of watching egt's or turbo boost since the motor is more than capable of destroying the driveline they stay clear... ..... bonus... I DON'T HAVE THE #5 PLATE yet but what a convincing bull st!t story to harbor
