rbattelle said:It's not the dirt they remove from the oil system, it's the filter media they ADD to the oil system that's the key! :-laf![]()
cattletrkr said:You forgot option #3. Cut a hole in the plastic inner fender and do it from the side. After trying to get that $#%#^# filter off the very first change, I got out the saw and hacked away. Cut a hole just big enough to get a hand and filter through. By far easier than bottom and as for the top---why???? I didn't have one of those fancy schmancy filter wrenches that I have since bought. Still like going at it from the side. At least WHEN I spill (as opposed to IF) it runs on the shop floor and not all over my arm like from the bottom. Can't get 'em off from the bottom for a while 'cause I just found a box of older filters in my garage. Kinda like finding a $20 bill in your coat pocket!!!

Ol'TrailDog said:I should get two votes since I've done both. I came down from the top for my 98 and 02. From the bottom for my 04. Now it is back to the top for the 97, at least I think I will when the time comes.

Need to do a better job thinking about the choices the next time I start a poll... .
