Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) DO you put a medium liquid thread locker on banjo bolts?

Ok, have a torque wrench that 18# is in the middle of the range. Have the banjo bolts, new washers (2 per bolt), ready to do the change.



Do you put any medium (like locktite blue) thread lock resin on the banjo bolts?, or just torque them to 18#?



Oh, sorry about posting the torque wrench question to the wrong forum.



Thanks for all the advice on the torque wrench btw helped a lot in the selection.

You do not want ANY Loctite on the banjo bolts. If it gets in the fuel system, God knows what it might do. Also if you later take them off, you might get the dried Loctite into the clean side of the inj. pump. Chris
 
Thanks, kinda figuered that you were on the clean side of the fuel filter, but did not want to "rassel" this one twice.
