A. There are a few places in the world where people routinely live to be well over 100 years old. The have several things;
one of those things is no Doctors.
B. A year ago my wife was having some sever pain;
1. First Dr. diagnosis X, see specialist Dr. #2
2. Dr. #2, you do not have X, you have Y, see specialist #3
3. Dr. #3, you do not have X and you do not have Y, you have Z, see specialist Dr. #4
4. Dr. #4, you do not have X, you do not have Y, you do not have Z, you have ZZ,
5. Went to see Dr #5, he agreed with Dr. no 3---in part and with a difference, but he was more convincing and made more sense. With his conclusion, wife hit the internet and decided what to do about it, did it. Problem solved,
But it sure was frustrating to get so many contradictory diagnosies, at least 3 of which were just plain wrong.
In May of 1981, Wife was given 2 years to live(we saw specialist in 5 major cities, and they all agreed), so she told them to stuff it and went the alternative medicine route. Today she is far more healthy than before she got sick in 1980. She got sick in Nov. '80 and not correctly diagnosed untill may of 1981--it was a very rare disorder that most Drs have never seen.
But as was pointed out, sometimes you do need them and would be in real trouble without them. But too many people overuse them and too many Drs. are way too eager to write a prescription.
