In my opinion no, the majority of stopping power come from the front brakes They are already disk. Keep the rear brakes adjusted and do the GM wheel cylinder mod, much cheaper easier and I have been very happy with it for years now. Do the mod then if you are not satisfied you are only out $20-$30 bucks then you can still go w/ rear disks.

biggest thing I see is people just dont keep the rear brakes adjusted up where there supposed to be on any rear drum rig, I think most just dont know what a difference it really makes and assume its doing it automatically,



9 out of 10 auto adjusters dont work worth the metal there made of, if you drive in heavy traffic daily you need to crawl under the truck every few months and take it up 2 or 3 clicks... . no bs if you stay ontop of it the truck will stop well, let the rears get loose and you have a rig that will barely stop.
