I'd like to take this opportunity to vent about the poor quality light bulbs Dodge used in my truck. Driving today, the right turn signal started blinking double-time (when I was signalling a right turn). Sure enough, the right-rear turn signal ain't working.

Blame light only lasted 130,000 miles, 5. 5 years. Darn it, I expect bulbs to last at least 10 years!

:D :D for the humor impaired.

Now to do a search and see what folks have done to make the LED replacements work, if anything.

led Lights

Get ahold of Flipflopled. They have lots of Led's. I have orederd many lights from them, all have been delivered quickly and in excellent shape. Their service is also great very informative and helpful people. Their address is www.FLIPFLOPLED.COM. Good luck with your search and beware of the imitation JUNK out there.

NOT affiliated with above named company.

I got rid of my last truck (1993), just in time!!

It had 126K miles and I had not yet had to replace any bulbs!

But then I had to make two repairs---the getrag transmission and the differential both had to be rebuilt.

200k with all original bulbs except for higher wattage back ups.

DC must have screwed up and got bulbs that were supposed to go in a Toyota.

I should probably delete this thread, some DC engineer might see it figure out another way to save a dime.

You had to go and say something ! My RR turn signal\brake lamp bulb died yesterday at 370,000 K. It's a 97. Gotta pull or drop the rear bumper to change it due to the built in taillight protection welded to the bumper.

I had to replace one roof clearance light bulb last month in Az. at 108k miles.

Also got a $650 wash job at 5 star dealer in Bullhead City, Az. after they replaced the axle seals in the front diff. for "free"... . ha

Back in "Gods Country" again and glad to be here.

the best light on the truck is the low fuel light. its has been on for 50,000 miles. One lice. plate lite is origional, both cargo lights, and the dash lights. All of the other are replacements. Its only got 122k on it. I'm hard on lights, I've blown out 3 KC Daylighters. Must be from getting up to 60mph in my gravel driveway. Or from going over hills and going from full drop on the suspension to full compression real fast.
