I found this article posted by MikeyB on DTR. Notice the comment about Dodge Cummins having 40% of the HD diesel pickup market in Texas. If it's true that's very  :D

That means there's 60% left to divvy between Ford & Chevy which means 30% apiece if averaged. It would be interesting to know some details behind these numbers and what timeframe they are based on (2003 model year? calendar year? etc. ).

Dont get me wrong. . Fords are really big in Texas, but it depends on what you base that on... as far as Rodeos, and who pulls their trailers with what, Dodge leads by far, then Ford, and last, Chevy. As far as having a 3/4 ton or 1 ton, diesel or gasser, Ford has lots out there. . I will just leave it at that, as not to start some stupid war on who sells more.

I was talking HD, but I agree... doesn't really matter to me who sells more as long as I know which is best... I mean, Mickey D's sells more burgers than anyone, but that doesn't mean they're the best burgers...

As a Texas resident I would agree with the Ford/Chevy numbers breakdown (no pun intended) opinion expressed by Forrest regarding the HD market.

Guy's this is a subject matter we need to keep under the table. We go to talking about our trucks being number (1) in the HD class and every one will want one causing the prices to skyrocket on the CTD (Supply&Demand). So every one stay hush, hush about this matter. I'm going to start telling them I wish I had got a Ford:rolleyes: :-laf :-laf
