no thats the only "down" side, either parking lights or headlights must be on to use the fog lamp! on the other side, I purchased a "hella" fog light kit for my wrangler, and spent 3 hours running wires, splicing, taking the dash apart to find a "good" spot for the rocker switch and still no fog lights. I think the relay is bad I am measuring an open accross the "make" contacts even with power and ground directly contected! what a pain!!!! wish they had a kitOo.

If you use the stock headlight switch for Fog lamps, your fog lamps will go out when you switch on the highbeams.

It is illegal to run foglamps whith your high beams on and like wise it is illegal to run driving lights with low beams.

Go figure.

I have a 99 with the factory push pull fog light switch. My fogs stopped working and I traced it to the switch. When I opened the switch to see what happened to it I discovered that the fog light contact portion of the switch is the most cheeseball piece of junk that I have witnessed in some time. The contacts are located on the end of the push pull shaft and they are held together by a pubic hair, I think. What I had left was a very small nub of nylon and a teeny contact. I truthfully can say that I have used my fogs approximately 20 times. I hope I got a bad switch and you guys are in for better luck. I am in the process of putting in a rocker or something else.
