I noticed in reading the post about the member who ordered a new Ford how frequently Ford's new integrated brake controller was mentioned as a plus in the Ford column for those considering a new truck. I'm not writing to enter the Ford v. Dodge fray but simply to offer what may be interesting new information on the subject.

I spent last Saturday with a young mechanic friend in a Dodge dealership who was working on my truck (in a private transaction). He said he had read internal correspondence indicating Dodge will soon offer an integrated brake controller also. I didn't read the service bulletin myself and cannot attest to the accuracy of his comment but he has proven himself honest and knowledgeable in all my experience with him. That is good news for Dodge buyers. He didn't know whether the alleged new integrated controller will be inertia-actuated or hydraulic line pressure driven.

Until the Dodge integrated controller is actually offered the BrakeSmart controller is reported by everyone who has bought one to be a great product. I haven't used one yet but recently ordered one based on the testimony of satisfied owners on the TDR, what I have read on the website, and positive impressions resulting from speaking the company in Dallas by phone.
